Wanderlust was never part of Kwatrokantos' vocabulary. Well, maybe not in the same context as one word, the fact is, if comfort and a sedentary life was to be their battlecry, they would never have left Iloilo.
For seven weeks, the band's single "Waiting List" made it to the top spot on local Iloilo radio. Everywhere they went, they had a horde of screaming acolytes and sycophants; believers in their type of music and staunch defenders of their credibility as musicians.
Their sound is uniquely Pinoy with a hint of Western charm, just enough to keep their songs teetering at the edge of your consciousness. Gwapo ako sa personal is one song that is proof of the band's easy to digest, easy to follow, easy to understand and easy to rock to - type of music. Eman Abatayo's (Pinoy Dream Academy finalist) gripping and commanding voice makes you want to really listen, be it from your iPod or your CD player.
So from Iloilo, off to Manila they go - following the supposed wanderlust in their veins.
